When ceiling fans are installed directly below a light source.

When the fan is on, it bisects the light source, creating a dull strobe effect. Dizzying to read under these conditions.

That's how it is in my house! The ceiling fan was installed below the recessed lights in the kitchen ceiling. I HATE that flashing shadow! It gives my headaches.

Send in your mobile phone pet peeves for the week of February 15th! Perhaps the simplest and most common generator of peeves, the mobile phone prods and pricks us in all places, public and private.
