PEEVE ››
People that drag their feet when walking.
Specifically sorority girls who are wearing ugg boots.

My husband does this sometimes. *Scoot, scoot, scoot, scoot* What, are you 5 years old? Pick up your FEET!!

I submitted a similar peeve in March that never showed up (meta-peeve!) inspired by seeing some girl in her 20s at the convenience store wearing pajamas under a heavy coat, and fuzzy slippers. How endearing! You're not in the dorms anymore, put on some shoes. Pick your damn feet up. But now it's flip-flop weather and I see the same thing.

At work we call it the "teenage shuffle." You can always tell when a high-school or early college age girl was walking behind you because of the annoying "shhhht, shhhht, shhhht" sound. Lazy brats need to learn to pick up their damn feet!

Kerrin — You're completely right, I just looked up the peeve you submitted, my bad. I have a similar foot-related one: when women turn their feet inwards to seem cute.

'sokay Biffy. :) I hate the twee pigeon-toe pose also, I just don't see it as much.

I was contemplating this on campus the other day and couldn't figure out if the Uggs make the girls shuffle or if girls who shuffle choose to wear Uggs..

SWEET BABY JEEBUS, YES !!! Just seeing this post made me happy. Thank you! I'm so happy to know this drives other people crazy. I wish it was legal to take the shoes off the offender and tell them they won't be getting them back until they learn how to walk in them properly. WHY oh WHY do they think this is cute?? UGH.
