snapping the top down on the dish washing liquid

why would you ever snap the top down? it just means you have to snap it up every single time you use it. soap is thick, it does not pour out even on the off chance it falls over. i consider this snapping up down action OCD.

i used to agree, except once the dish soap fell over and DID pour out all over the counter...hey, that's another peeve right there: trying to clean up a spill of soap! p.s. now i put it in a bottle with a pump - both peeves solved...

My spousal unit never puts the cap down and it regularly gets knocked over in its spot in the cabinet under the sink...and ALWAYS makes a gooey sticky mess.
